Why an audio guest book rather than a paper one
Faced with a paper guest book, many guests write three polite words and move on. Faced with a rotary telephone, it is the opposite: they pick up out of curiosity, hear the couple's voices, and start talking. A fit of laughter, a story about how you met, advice from the grandparents, a declaration no one would have written down. The HearMe audio guest book captures all of it, with the intonations, hesitations and laughter. Years later, you listen to voices again, not lines.
How it works on the day
The phone arrives at your home or your venue about 7 days before the wedding, in custom packaging, with a sign and the instructions. You set it on a table, plug it in, and that is it. During the drinks reception or the meal, each guest picks up, hears your welcome message and leaves their own after the beep. No app, no settings, no entertainment to organise. The phone records about 48 hours of messages: even with 200 guests, you are far below the limit.
The Full package: your guests discover a message when they pick up
With the Full package, you prepare personal messages for certain guests before the wedding, from your online space. On the day, your best friend or your grandmother picks up, dials the number written on her card, and hears you speaking to her, personally. Then she answers you. The online workshop guides you step by step to record these messages and assign the numbers. It is the package most often chosen by the couples we work with.
The Challenges option to liven up the tables
With the Challenges option (€35), a QR code on each table invites guests to draw a challenge on their smartphone: tell the story of your first meeting, sing the song of your first slow dance, give advice for the next fifty years. The guest then dials the number shown on the rotary dial and records their answer. The messages come back to you sorted by theme: humour, advice, memories, emotion, future.
Pricing, delivery and getting your messages back
Basic package at €175 or Full package at €250, per wedding, round-trip delivery included in mainland France. An uncashed €750 deposit cheque is returned to you when the phone comes back. After the wedding, you send the phone back in its packaging. All the messages then arrive in your online space, to listen to and download one by one or all at once. We are based in Albi, in the Tarn, and every phone is prepared by us before it leaves.
